Terms of business

We accept responsibility for making bookings for accommodation (bed, breakfast and evening meal) for you and your group, and grazing or D.I.Y. stabling for your horses, and for providing a written route guide. Should anything go wrong with them, we will in no case be liable for more than the total fee you have paid. Accommodation providers are individually responsible for their own actions or omissions. They are joined together for marketing, and your enjoyment and pleasure.

We have  taken all  reasonable steps to ensure that proper arrangements have been made for accommodation and grazing or stabling.

We accept holiday bookings on condition that all riders and horses in the party are adequately insured against third party risks.

Any vehicles should also be insured against third party liabilities and are parked on the premises at the owner’s own risk.

We do not accept any liability for loss, damage, or injury to you, your horse, personal effects or tack, however caused.

We accept holiday bookings on condition that all horses coming on holiday have been properly wormed and vaccinated against equine flu.

We reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your holiday. In this event we will either return all money you have paid, or will offer an alternative date. We will inform you of such changes as soon as is reasonably possible.

A non-returnable deposit of 25% is required with your booking form, with balance due no later than 28 days before the start of your holiday.

No refunds of the deposit or balance will be given, should you have to cancel.

Due to the unpredictable nature of working with horses, please ensure you arrange appropriate cancellation insurance and personal accident cover.

Should we not receive your final payment 28 days before your holiday starts we will assume you have cancelled and you will lose your deposit.

We make every effort to provide a route guide that is clear to follow. Nevertheless we assume you are competent to follow directions and we do not accept any liability if you fail to reach your overnight stop. We check the descriptions given in the route guide, but you should bear in mind that there may be changes (fallen trees, pub opening times, bridleway repairs etc) or that some amenities are temporarily unavailable. Such events are regrettably beyond our control, but we will make every effort to notify you of any changes. Please also check www.nationaltrail.co.uk for issues affecting the bridleway.
